Dr. Han’s research focuses on data mining, data warehousing, database systems, data mining from spatiotemporal data, Web data, and social/information network data. He has made a number of important contributions to data mining, among them the development of a set of scalable frequent-pattern mining algorithms, including FPgrowth and PrefixSpan.
