Industry Partners

With eight current members, the MMLI is looking for additional partners to join the Industrial Partnership Program!

The goal of this program is to provide the opportunity for a two-way exchange of information between the MMLI and industry researchers. We look forward to sharing tools and databases for more efficient synthesis and discovery of chemicals and materials for a wide range of applications.

There is a two-tier membership structure with annual membership fees going into a seed grant fund that supports proof-of-concept projects and expands partnerships. Some benefits of joining the program include:

  • Invitation to the annual MMLI retreat to get a comprehensive overview of the MMLI research
  • Recruiting opportunities for graduate students and postdocs
  • Opportunity to sponsor directed research projects
  • Opportunities for licensing for Partner-level members

If you are interested in receiving more information about the program, please contact Huimin Zhao (MMLI Director) or Sabrina Abdulla (Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator).

  • Participate in annual MMLI All-Institute Retreat
  • Engage with graduate students and postdocs at MMLI, participate in networking opportunities and early momentum engagement in their professional career
  • Opportunity to sponsor directed research projects with negotiable rights under separate agreement
  • Access to newsletters, technical review, annual reports and reprints of Institute-authored research

All of the above PLUS:

  • Non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-commercial license for in-house use of patentable inventions or copyrightable materials developed under the auspices of the MMLI Seed Grant Program
  • Serve on ad hoc Advisory Committee for Seed Grant Program and provide input on Seed Grant project selections and strategic plans
  • Participate in quarterly meetings with MMLI
  • Priority access to MMLI facilities and instrumentation
  • Priority opportunity for consulting with academic experts
