Cindy Chan

Cindy is the managing director of NSF-MMLI, leading the operations of the AI Institute, supporting the Director and the leadership team to achieve NSF-MMLI missions. She also leads the MATRIX program and is the main contact for the MMLI Industrial Partnership Program. Previously, she worked as the data manager for the RIPE project and researched on improving C4 photosynthesis in sugarcane and energycane in the lab of the late Prof. Stephen P. Long. She has a PhD in Plant Sciences (Cantab.), an Erasmus Mundus Masters in Forensic Science and a BSc. (Hons) in Biotechnology.
